Who we are

CaspiProperty (caspiproperty.com) is a property search and market-data site for Azerbaijan. Write to us at info@caspiproperty.com about anything on this page.

The site and its database run on a rented server in Falkenstein, Germany. Everything we hold about you is on that machine and in its backups — there is no second copy anywhere else.

What we hold about you

If you are only looking: nothing that identifies you. We run no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts, and our web server writes no log of visitor IP addresses. Reading this site leaves no record of you with us.

If you sign in, sign-in is through Google and nothing else. Google gives us your name, your email address, a link to your profile picture and your Google account identifier. We never see and never store a password.

What you do inside the account: the properties you star, the lists you file them under, the searches you save, the alerts those searches produce, and which of the three languages you chose.

If you send us a property to list: your name and phone number, your email if you give one, the address and the point you put on the map, the apartment number if you give one, the price and details of the property, your photographs, and any ownership document you upload.

Two promises about a property you send us

The apartment number is never published. We ask for it so the price history we build belongs to your flat rather than to the whole building. It is stored privately and appears nowhere on the site, in the search results, or in any figure a visitor can see.

The ownership document is used once and then deleted. A çıxarış or kupça is read only to check that you are entitled to list the property. When the listing is published — or refused — the file is erased from the server. It is never published, never shown to a buyer and never sent anywhere.

Cookies

Two, and both are ours:

• cp_sid — keeps you signed in for 90 days. It holds a random token; the server stores only a hash of it, so the cookie itself is the only copy.
• lang — remembers whether you want Azerbaijani, Russian or English.

There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site. Google's sign-in button sets cookies of its own in your browser when you use it; those belong to Google, not to us.

Who else sees anything

• Google — only if you press the sign-in button, and only for the sign-in itself.
• Our email provider delivers the messages we send you about your listing or your saved searches. It sees your email address and the text of that message, nothing more.
• The map and the photographs. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap and CARTO, the map code from unpkg, the photographs on collected listings are served by bina.az and ev10.az, and a few property pages embed a Google map. Loading from those hosts shows them your IP address, exactly as visiting any website does. We send them nothing about you.

Nobody buys anything from us. We do not sell, rent out or hand over what we hold about you to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else, and there is no version of this site where that changes.

How long we keep it

• Your account and what is in it: for as long as the account exists.
• Sign-in sessions: 90 days, then the session expires by itself.
• A property you sent us: while the listing is live, and afterwards as the record of a listing we published.
• Ownership documents: destroyed as soon as the listing is decided, published or refused.

Seeing it, correcting it, deleting it

Write to info@caspiproperty.com from the address on your account and ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or the deletion of your account and everything attached to it. A person does it by hand, usually within a few working days. Deleting the account takes your saved properties, your saved searches and your alerts with it.

Listings we collect from public sites

Most of what you search here was published by someone else. Every morning we record the listings that are publicly on bina.az and ev10.az: the price, size, rooms, floor, district, coordinates and description of the property. That daily record is what makes price history possible in a country that has none.

We deliberately do not collect the seller's name or telephone number, although both sites hand them out. That is a line drawn on purpose: this site is a record of property, not of people. Where a listing came from somewhere else, the page says so and links you back to it.

If you published a listing on one of those sites and would rather it were not recorded here, send us the link at info@caspiproperty.com and we will remove it.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS only. We store no passwords, because we never receive one. Uploaded documents are kept outside the part of the server the web can reach. The database accepts connections only from the machine it runs on, and is backed up weekly.

No system is proof against everything. If we ever lose control of something that matters, we will tell you plainly and quickly.

Changes to this page

When the wording changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change actually affects what we do with your data, account holders are told by email — not by a quietly edited page.
